A searing question was asked by the Lord Jesus Christ when teaching His disciples "simple" but heart-searching lessons. One that I find very pointed is the question in the Title: "Will He find us busy with the Gospel work when He returns to earth?"
I believe the Bible to be the Inspired Word of God. Every word, every line, every verse, every chapter as the Word of a Holy God that is relevant today. The Armenian name of the Bible is "The Breath of God."
So many are busy with the "Things" of God but not busy with the "God" of the things that it shows in our walk, our dedication and zeal for God. Church attendance dwindles, the fire of the Holy Ghost does not fall in every meeting, the Gifts of the Spirit is not at work in many of our churches. The Gospel message is watered down because preachers ave to be "Pleasers of men more than pleasers of God", otherwise the BIG Tithers will leave the church.
Well, I have terrible news for you friend, this Gospel message cannot be changed or watered down without consequenses. The Bible teaches that we will all appear before the Judgement seat of a Holy God. It will be the quality of our walk, talk and dedication with God that will determine the reward for the way you served or omitted to serve.
Make time and place for the Lord God in your life. Make place for Him in your work or business, your marriage, your relationships with others and your time for prayer and consecration. Dedicate time to worship the Almighty God, read the Bible prayerfully and allow God to change your life and ways until we conform to His Will.
If you are not saved, born-again, redeemed through the precious Blood of Jesus, would you not give your heart to Jesus the Christ now by accepting Him as your personal Saviour? Surrendering your will to His Will, opening your life to the forgiveness of God by repenting of your sin and allowing the Grace of God to cleanse you from all unrighteousness and sinfulness? It is only a short prayer away and your life can be forever changed into the likeness of Christ.
