Have You Felt Like Giving Up Lately?

Have You Felt Like Giving Up Lately?

Has life dealt you a 'Bad Hand' or delivered you a 'Low Blow'? Do you feel that all that has happened to you has been unfair and uncalled for? Have you been asking yourself  "Why me,what did I do to deserve it?"  A failing business. A failing marriage. The teenager who I think that here, there will be many people who will either say 'Yes", "Amen", That's for sure" or "brother, you've hit the nail on the head" or something like that. Has this raised the question or thought by you that giving up is an option? To others, even more drastic steps are pondered on and considered. To many, suicide seems to be an answer, a way out, taking the short-cut and ending this tragedy.  But this is not a solution.
The fact is, that we all pass through some sort of hardship at one or other time in our lives. It is not that you are a failure, see it as a learning curve. A lesson to be learnt so that later on, when you see someone going through similar difficulties, you can relate to them and help them to remain faithful and steadfast.

Some of us turned to the Internet with the intent of earning money online. Many need a "quick Fix" because of their dire financial constraints and situation(s) that has driven them to find an answer. They need that answer now! Does this sound like you? Can you associate with this? Are you in that kind of situation? We have heard the expression: "It takes money to earn Money" and you may agree with that statement. Does it mean that if you don't have any money, that you are doomed to fail? Never! When you look at any matter at hand positively and keep your mind open to new suggestions, looking at them, thinking them through, not allowing your negative situation to blind you to new ways of doing something that will produce results, then you will "see" the real truth. There are ways to improve your standard of living and find a solution that will provide you with your much needed finances.

There are many affiliates like you and I, in the same boat, with insufficient cashflow to invest the necessary funds into your Business. Being financially limited does not mean that you can't build a successful business, Not at all!
I have heard testimonies of people I personally know, who started a business with just a few dollars (actually in our currency, the ZAR - our South African Rand), building an empire that made them millions of Rands. Did they ever considering giving up? Some have told me the thought crossed their minds but they kept on believing in themselves, in the type of business they were conducting and that this was their dream. Whenever they felt like quitting or giving up, they reminded themselves of the abject poverty they grew up in. They resolved that they would not want their family to suffer the way they did as youngsters. It was this passion, this reality that made their dream a reality. This is why they kept on until they broke through. Held on until they achieved success.

One particular businessman in one of the congregations where I served as Pastor, would call me at least once per week to come pray with him so that "we could "clean out our hearts" as he referred to it. He had a special office in his place of business that was a dedicated Prayer Room. He had Hessian sacks on the carpeted floor, with ash so that we would pray on sack and ash. He would weep and confess his faults before the Lord, praying until we prayed through. He always told me that being in business was not easy and that his business kept him on his knees. It was an eye-opener to me. His business was built on placing his trust in G-d who is our Source.  He said that getting to where he was, was a constant struggle and he had families in his employ that he was responsible for. They depended on him for their livelihood. He had to be and remain faithful to be successful. Giving up would mean great losses to those that he was to take care of. Giving up was never an option.
I know that for you, dear reader, there are many challenges that you are going through right now. Trying to build your business with limited financial resources. Trying to survive in the current economic climate. Trying to keep your head above water. Surviving in dark, bleak times. Trying to reach the top. I know you are struggling but I am glad to see that you remain positive and focussed. You have to if you are planning to be at the top. The external factors that surround your situation should never be allowed to influence your internal outlook and view of your Goals, Drive and ambitions. Never give up! Don't quit! Keep your dreams alive, all the time.

Here is a story of two men who moved me with their achievements. Achievements were brought on by their desire to get what they wanted, even though they were challenged by their ill-health. I hope that this will inspire you to also keep on keeping on and not give up.
These are 2 Bible College Students, whose achievements had me weeping whilst they received their awards and diplomas, during the November 2012 graduation. The first is of a man who joined the Bible college when he was still healthy but already in his mid-fifties. He suffered three severe strokes that left him paralyzed on his left side and the strokes also affected his speech. It took him Seven (7) years to complete his 4 year Diploma course. He completed the course with Cum Laude honours. It really touched my heart to see the glint of satisfaction in his eyes when he was awarded his Diploma in Ministry. Where others would have given up and used their ill-health as an excuse, he persevered and overcame his hurdles, succeeding to achieve top marks and the prestigious trophy along with a few other prizes.
The second person was also affected by his health. He had become an Epilepsy sufferer that caused him to be declared Medically unfit and was 'boarded' from work. Due to his ill-health and hospitalization, he lost 6 months college work during 2011. Despite this setback, he started studying again after being released from hospital and then he would attend extra classes. He wrote a record number of examinations in a few days, 26 Test papers actually. He was amongst his class members at graduation and rewarded for his hard work.

I mention this by way of encouragement to you, that despite setbacks that could have smashed their dreams, they resolved to complete that which they had set their heart on. I know that you too, can reach out high above your situation and not allow it to dictate your failure, but drive you to succeed. I will be sure to add you to my prayer list if you want me to and if I have your permission to do so. I know that you can and will achieve what you set out to achieve because of a strong resolve in dreary times. Keep on keeping on and decide not to give up at all.

Remember that G-d is good and will not allow any temptation to keep you from victory.  Look to Him, the author and Finisher of our faith and trust G-d for your miracle right now.

Prayer: Father, my prayer is that You will hear this reader's prayer today. See the trials and temptations they are going through and give them courage and victory to believe You for their miracle. I pray this in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ Your Son.
Amen

Rodney
